Pennsylvania’s Employment Incentive Payment (EIP) Program rewards employers with a significant state tax credit when they hire qualifying new employees.  These include individuals who within the past year received Pennsylvania General (cash) Assistance (GA) or Temporary (cash) Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), and/or received approved vocational rehabilitation services through the State Rehabilitation Services program or the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

The EIP tax credit totals up to $7,200 per qualifying employee during three years of employment. It is available to all businesses with locations in Pennsylvania.
